Day 21-23 13/6-15/6

The 13th also happened to be a friday the 13th. I didn't get much dolly sewing done since I was frantically trying to get me and my fiances costumes ready for a costume paty the day after. I did however move her around a bit and admire her... so I guess that counts.

The 14th too was a busy day. I did however finish of one of her lolita dresses that needed hooks and bars added.

The 15th was the day I decided to finish the Mori-girl challenge. I really like the way my outift turned out and I'm absolutely inlove with my acid-dyed and then tea-dyed pale golden silk.

Day 1-20 23/6-12/7

I've been a terrible blogger. However I have been keeping up with my 28 day projects. For a while now I've been working on Yuzuki. Yuzuki is my much adored Shinydoll Thaasa Nanae head/ Iplehouse JID smallbust old body hybrid.

Between the 23:d of june and the 28:th of june I was working on her face-up and body blushing. Her face was wiped and repainted numerous times and I was having so much fun I didn't quite want to stop. The final face-up is one I'm quite satisfied with though it does make her look older than initionally intended.

Between the 29:th of june and the 5:th of july I was working on a new sewing challenge. This time the challenge was a Mori-girl inspired outfit. However after the fifth I felt I needed to take a break or I would finnish my outfit way ahead of time.

Between the 6:th of july and 12th of july I'vee been sewing up a storm of lolita inspired clothes. Yuzuki is quickly becoming the one of my dolls that has the biggest wardrobe despite having been complete for the shortest!

Day 25-26 19/6-20/6

These days were mostly spent taking indoor snapshots, face-up experimenting (on spare legs) and just carrying Amaya around.

Day 27 21/6

Me and my boyfriend/ bodyguard went to a local park to do a photo-shoot with Amaya in her new clothes... the top of the mountain was a bit windy and it was a bit difficult to get standing shots... but the entire afternoon was great fun!

Day 28 22/6

This is the last day of Amaya's 28 days. I feel I've really made Amaya more complete... she's no longer dressed in other dolls' cast-off clothes and I've taken the time to finally blush her hands.
Today I've uploaded pictures of my photo-shoot and have generally just meditated on the experience.

I think I'll pack her away before the evening and unpack the next girl... getting a smidge of a head start.

Day 23 17/6

Day 23 was mostly spent at work. However I did have time to finish my stay-ups which meant that I've finished the 3 week challenge a few days early.

Day 24 18/6

I must admit, once I was done with the outfit I had planned I felt done with Amaya. Not as in forever done of course... but more as if I had accomplished what I needed to in order to have given her due attention during her 28 days. I still had 5 days left and I had no idea how to spend them. So I wiped her face-up and decided to give her a new one.

The finished face-up is both better and worse than her old one. The lips and the eyebrows are far better and the general blushing is improved however I think that the lower lashes and her eyes aren't as good as they used to be. I don't think this face-up will stay as long as the old one (approximately a year) but redoing will have to wait until I'm done with the other dolls' 28 days.

Day 20-22 14/6-16/6

I continued working on dress, finished hemming the skirts and finished of the inside. Day 22 I made the capelet... now I only have the stockings left. I feel rather pleased having Amaya stand around now, she looks quite complete.

Day 17-19 11/6-13/6

So I've continued working on the dress part of the 3 week sewing challenge. Even though I have a sewing-machine at home I find that for most fabrics and for most seams I prefer hand-sewing. It's not a as fast but the precision can't be argued with.

Today, 13/6, I've been hemming circle-skirts. This is one of those things that is best to do through hand-sewing but will take half an eternity. Hopefully I'll have the second skirt done tomorrow.

Day 16 10/6

So I joined a 3 week sewing-project on DoA that would fit in great with my 28 day challenge. The point of the project is to make a complete outfit for one doll in 3 weeks, which is completely doable.

I will be making:
A dress (with a heart cut-out)
A pair of bloomers (probably with built in suspenders)
A capelet
A pair of stayups

During day 16 I finished my bloomers. The pattern and fabric I had originally chosen did not work... but after a bit of improvising I ended up with something quite nice.

Day 17 11/6

I continued my 3 week sewing-project by starting on the dress. The dress is slowly and tediously hand-sewn. However I do feel that hand-sewing gives the most control and thusly the most reliable result.
